TPS AD04 Self-Adherent Soft Silicone Foam Dressing

Foam dressing is a new dressing made of medical polyurethane containing CMC and made by the latest foaming process.

Feature • Designed to affix to dry, intact skin to maintain a moist wound environment and promote healing
• Outer film layer is breathable while remaining resistant to bacteria and moisture infiltration
• Inner hydrocellular foam pad is absorbent
• Seals the wound margins to help prevent exudate from leaking on surrounding tissue
• Highly conformable to fit on your body's contours
• Perforated silicone gel adhesive minimizes pain and trauma to wounds upon removal

Main Function Principles

  • It has rich cellular structure and strong and rapid liquid absorption amount.
  • Gel is formed on the wound after liquid absorption to keep the wound moist.
  • It has the ability to retain exudate in situ, i.e. the function of "locking water".
  • The surface of the product is covered with semi-permeable polyurethane film, waterproof and breathable.
  • Softness, elasticity and compliance characteristics to prevent the wound from being pressed.
  • The cellular structure can absorb the odor of the wound.

Five-Layer Structure

Used in surgical wounds with more exudate, urology, plastic surgery, orthopedics, and ophthalmology. The five-layer structure includes:

  1. Silicone gel layer
  2. Foam absorbent layer
  3. One-way flow layer
  4. Highly absorbent liquid storage layer
  5. Semi-permeable membrane layer

Instruction of Use

  1. Put on gloves.
  2. Clean the wound area with saline solution.
  3. Dry the skin around the wound with sterile gauze.
  4. Apply a foam dressing which extends a minimum of one inch beyond the edges of the wound.
  5. If the dressing does not have an adhesive border, use wrap or tape to hold it in place.
  6. When changing, peel off carefully, clean the wound and apply a new dressing.
